Station IT

Station IT's mission is to maintain an efficient and cost effective information technology division with superior customer service and mission accomplishment to exceed the expectations of military members and civilians for their data and voice communication requirements. IT is located in building 328W next to Servemart and downstairs from TMO. Station IT's primary responsibilies include:

• Network trouble shooting and assistance. IT provides a reliable data connection to the various military institutions for both unclass and classified networks as well as internet intranet services.


• Send and receive secure and unsecure message traffic. The telecommunications center's primary function is to provide tenant units with naval message processing using the AUTODIN and DMS message systems. All station users using DMS or AUTODIN services must follow the guidlines provided by TCC.


• Provide computer and printer repair services for base users. Repair is also the issue point for the base operated pager services and is responsible for providing all audio visual and computer temp loan services.


• Install and Maintain all outside plant cabling including fiber optics and copper. Telephone provides all voice communications aboard the air station.

Before Station IT can provide assistance for computer repair, networking assistance, or telephone trouble calls, a trouble call must be submitted via the Help Desk at 269-6790 anytime day or night. For audio visual equipment, contact the Audio Visual Operator at 269-6200. For pager services, contact the Repair Chief at 269-6755.
